[Composition] Albendazole, Ivermectin

[Pharmacological Action]

Antiparasitic agent. Albendazole possesses broad-spectrum anthelmintic activity and exerts a potent killing effect on nematodes, cestodes and trematodes. Its mechanism of action involves binding to tubulin in helminths, preventing its polymerization with α‑tubulin to form microtubules, thereby disrupting cell reproduction processes in helminths such as mitosis, protein assembly and energy metabolism.

Ivermectin shows excellent efficacy against internal and external parasites, especially arthropod insects and gastrointestinal nematodes. It is mainly used to eliminate gastrointestinal nematodes, lung nematodes and ectoparasites in swine. Its anthelmintic mechanism is to promote the release of gamma‑aminobutyric acid (GABA) from presynaptic neurons, thus opening GABA‑mediated chloride ion channels. Chloride influx reduces cell membrane resistance and causes a slight depolarization of the postsynaptic resting potential, interfering with neuromuscular signal transmission, relaxing and paralyzing parasites, and leading to their death or expulsion from the body.

[Drug Interactions]

Cannot be used in combination with other anti tissue trichomonads.

[Indications]

Antiprotozoal drug. For the treatment of swine dysentery caused by Serpulina hyodysenteriae and histomoniasis in poultry.

[Administration and Dosage]

Calculate based on this product. Mixed feeding: 1000-2500g for pigs and 400-2500g for chickens per 1000kg of feed.

[Adverse Reactions]

Chickens are more sensitive to this product, and high doses can cause imbalance and damage to liver and kidney function.

[Precautions]

(1) Cannot be used in combination with other anti tissue trichomonads.

(2) Chicken should not be used continuously for more than 10 days.

(3) Egg laying period is prohibited for laying hens.
