[Pharmacological Action]

This product belongs to tetracycline antibiotics. It exerts potent antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus hemolyticus, Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium tetani and Clostridium sporogenes. It also shows high susceptibility against Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Brucella spp. and Pasteurella spp., with stronger antibacterial efficacy than tetracycline and oxytetracycline. Oral absorption in chickens is incomplete with low bioavailability. Clinically, it is mainly used for the prevention and treatment of chronic respiratory disease and colibacillosis in chickens.

[Precautions]

1. Prohibited for use in laying hens during the egg-laying period.

2. This product shall not be combined with penicillins, drugs/feed containing calcium salts, iron salts or multivalent metal ions, nor sodium bicarbonate. Co-administration with potent diuretics may aggravate renal damage.

3. Avoid mixing with tap water with high chlorine content or alkaline solutions.
