Generic Name: Pseudorabies Vaccine, Live (Strain Bartha-K61)
Trade Name: VPor PRV
[Composition] This product contains pseudorabies virus Bartha-K61 attenuated strain. Each dose contains not less than 5.0×103.0 TCID50 of the virus.
[Character] It is a spongy, loose mass that easily detaches from the vial wall and dissolves quickly after adding the diluent.
[Function and Purpose] For prevention of pseudorabies in pigs, cattle and sheep. Immunity develops on the 6th day after vaccination, with a duration of immunity of 12 months.
[Administration and Dosage]
Intramuscular injection. According to the number of doses indicated on the vial label, dilute with PBS to contain 1 dose per milliliter.
Pigs:
Pregnant sows and adult pigs: 2.0 ml per head;
Piglets over 3 months old and growing pigs: 1.0 ml per head;
Suckling pigs: 0.5 ml for the first vaccination, and another 1.0 ml after weaning.
Cattle:
Cattle over 1 year old: 3.0 ml per head;
Cattle aged 5-12 months: 2.0 ml per head;
Calves aged 2-4 months: 1.0 ml for the first vaccination, and another 2.0 ml after weaning.
Sheep:
Sheep over 4 months old: 1.0 ml per head.
[Precautions]
(1) Once the vaccine is opened, it must be used up on the same day.
(2) Local disinfection should be performed during vaccination.
(3) It is advisable to inject pregnant sows 21-28 days before delivery; the maternal antibodies in their offspring can last for 21-28 days, after which suckling pigs or weaned pigs still need to be vaccinated. For piglets born to sows not vaccinated with this vaccine, they can be vaccinated within 7 days after birth and receive another vaccination after weaning.
(4) When used for immunization of sheep, it is only for sheep over 4 months old. For the first immunization of sheep of different breeds, a small number of sheep should be vaccinated first, and the number can be expanded for vaccination only if there are no problems.
(5) For epidemic areas and areas threatened by the disease, in epidemic areas and epidemic spots, emergency vaccination can be carried out for domestic animals without clinical manifestations, except for those already affected by the disease.
(6) Used vaccine vials, utensils and unused vaccines, etc., should be disposed of harmlessly.
