Used for the treatment of bacterial respiratory diseases in pigs, such as pleuropneumonia caused by Actinobacillus.

[Composition] Ceftiofur Hydrochloride

[Character] This product is a suspension of fine particles. After standing, the fine particles settle. Upon shaking, it forms a uniform milky-white to milky-yellow suspension.

[Pharmacological Action]
Ceftiofur Hydrochloride is a cephalosporin antibiotic specifically for livestock and poultry, with broad-spectrum bactericidal activity. It is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (including β-lactamase-producing bacteria). Sensitive bacteria include Pasteurella multocida, Haemolytic Pasteurella, Actinobacillus pleuropneumonia, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, and others. Some Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterococcus strains are resistant. In veterinary medicine, it is commonly used to treat acute respiratory infections in cattle (such as bronchopneumonia caused by Pasteurella), bovine mastitis, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumonia in pigs.

[Dosage and Administration]

For Ceftiofur content. Intramuscular injection: 5 mg /kg body weight for pigs.

Administer once every three days for a total of two doses.
